Acting for adults
The IDC theatre studio is not only for children. For adults it is less about a profession and more about work on yourself: voice, body, attention, and the ability to speak in front of people without sliding into anxiety.
What we teach
Stage speech and breathing, working with a text, études and improvisation, attention to your partner, the ability to hold a pause. None of it stays in the room: that same ability not to fear the eyes of an audience works in a presentation, an interview, a meeting or a difficult conversation.
Who it is for
For anyone who has never been on a stage and would like to try without risk. For anyone who speaks a lot at work and understands that voice and delivery are skills you can train. And for anyone who needs a place to be somebody else for two hours a week. No experience required.
